Poskanzer Skott's artistry and scope of architectural skills are particularly
evident in its select number of luxury private residences. These include
New York City townhouses and multi-acre estates, as well as neighborhoods
of unique yet complementary homes. For Poskanzer, each home is a personal
and special challenge. An example is a recently completed
residence in Long Island, New York. To assure the house reflected the
understated character of historic houses in the neighborhood, the firm created
a new home that appears to be an adaptive reuse of an old barn. In
the Long Island Residence and other private homes, Poskanzer has displayed
an ability not only to provide creative design solutions but also to supervise
the planning and construction processes to keep projects on time and on budget.
